Although Tuesday was all about the Irish, I spent St. Patrick’s Day at Alfredo 100—an Italian restaurant that opened up shop almost a year ago in Midtown East.

Luxury clothing and accessories brand Porsche Design recently moved its Midtown East store a few blocks south to a new, sleek space.

I jump at the opportunity to check out a new or renovated property and recently got to see The Tuscany, A St Giles Hotel’s newly renovated 17th floor Penthouse.

Midtown East is doesn’t offer much in the way of lunch spots, but there is at least one hidden gem: Little Collins, a café on Lexington Avenue.

I recently attended an office party at The Sea Fire Grill, the new midtown seafood restaurant owned by the two “Bens” behind Benjamin Steak House. On a numbingly cold Monday night, I was pleasantly surprised to see a packed and happy crowd at the sleek, cheery bar. The restaurant, done in tones of muted gold and cream is accented with recessed blue lights, mirrors and a shimmering blue accent wall that conveys an impressing of bubbling water.

Anyone who works in an office is probably familiar with a lunch meeting. These events normally take place in a conference room and include the entire staff eating something they’d probably rather not be eating.
