Pride March

The culmination of New York City’s Pride Week celebrations, this colorful, annual parade celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising of 1969 and the start of the modern LGBTQ rights movement. Kick off is at noon on Fifth Ave., at 26th St. The march travels south on Fifth Ave. to 8th St., where it turns west to Christopher St. past the Stonewall Inn, then north on Seventh Ave. to 23rd St., where it disperses.
