Housemade brews are canned at the source and poured from nine taps at this Astoria brewhouse and taproom, which rotates classic albums on vinyl daily. A pop-up kitchen by Astoria's Salt & Bone Smokehouse is open Th-Su and offers brisket or pulled pork tacos, nachos, soft pretzels and plates of pickled vegetables.
Gorgeous city views look even more spectacular from this new rooftop lounge from the famous Rainbow Room, located at the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Lights twinkle brightly as you sip on classic cocktails (Negronis and Manhattans) and contemporary concoctions (Room With a View, made with El Dorado 15-year rum, Cointreau, Foggy Ridge First Fruit Cider and nutmeg). Upscale munchies include roasted spiced nuts, Gigacup oysters, local artisan cheese platters, foie gras paté and sashimi.
The red-faced building is easy to spot, and inside guests find a casual and traditional pub scene. Beers on tap can be paired with a hearty seletion of Irish and American plates, from roasted artichoke dip to chips with salt and vinegar to fish 'n' chips to shepherds pie.
