East Side Company Bar

Some of the best mixologists in town serve up creative cocktails in this speakeasy-inspired lounge in a subterranean room resembling a subway car. Mon-Sat 7 p.m.-4 a.m., closed Sun.

East Village Walking Tour

On this tour, given by the giant tour company, Viator, guests meet their tour guide in Tompkins Square Park for a two-and-a-half-hour cocktail walking tour in the East Village. You will taste three craft cocktails, discover locally produced spirits, learn how Prohibition-era speakeasies shaped New York City and more.

Electric Room

It’s Cool Britannia at this basement homage to the Union Jack (images of the flag bedeck the plush sofas). This is the kind of place where rocker Mick Jagger would feel right at home. W-M 11 pm-4 am. $$$$


Decorated in a Roaring ‘20s theme, this classy lounge features lipstick-red walls, a grand piano and a solid cocktail list. Nightly 6 p.m.-4 a.m.

Empire Pub Crawl

A staff of knowledgeable "crawl hosts" leads the way as mingling party tour groups venue-hop top NYC night spots—including The DL, Vig Bar and The Late Late—over the course of a three-hour expedition that includes four total stops throughout the night. Drink specials vary by venue and admission fees are included in the tour price. 

Employees Only

A tarot-card reader holds court at the entrance to this secret bar known for serving food and fancy cocktails, such as the Billionaire (bourbon, grenadine, absinthe bitters) and Lazy Lover (cachaça, jalapeño-infused green Chartreuse, Benedictine, agave nectar), into the wee small hours. Nightly 6 p.m.-4 a.m.

Epstein's Bar

The Lower East Side bar offers frosty brews and classic cocktails plus American fare. Guest bartending nights are every Wed and Thurs evenings from 8 p.m. until at least midnight. Daily noon-3 a.m.

Failte Irish Whiskey Bar

Over 20 brands of Irish whiskey await patrons at this friendly traditional pub, with a welcoming fireplace, pool table and menu of burgers, sandwiches and popular toasties. Daily 11 a.m.-4 a.m.

Fat Cat

Jazz bands energize this underground billiards hall, which also offers table tennis, pool tables, foosball, shuffleboard, massive chess tables, checkers and backgammon.

Feinstein’s/54 Below

Michael Feinstein, leading voice of American Popular Song, has joined forces with 54 Below, the Theater District’s subterranean nightclub, restaurant and cocktail lounge underneath the former Studio 54 disco. Up to three shows nightly, featuring iconic and rising Broadway and popular music stars. Highlights:
