The Catholic Archdiocese of New York's new cultural center is named after the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, whose TV and radio programs in the 1950s and 1960s attracted millions of viewers and listeners. The center for thought and culture casts a wide net and features an eclectic lineup of the performing and visual arts, symposia, lectures and exhibits in its state-of-the-art facility. Programs range from art and comedy to religion and politics to movies and classical music.
The co-hosts of this live Mon-Fri daytime chat show—Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace—are never at a loss for words or stuck for an opinion about anything and everything. Celebrity guests enliven the proceedings. Ticket requests to join the audience must be made online. For day-of-show standby tickets, guests are invited to join the queue at the studio at 9:30 a.m. and are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability once ticketholders have been seated. The outspoken former DJ dishes out celebrity gossip and interviews famous personalities. Advance tickets are available online for live tapings Mon-Wed at 10 a.m. and Thurs at 10 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. When available, standby tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the studio no later than 8:30 a.m. on the day of the show. Day-of-performance discount tickets for many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows may be purchased by credit card or cash at the four permanent TKTS booths in Times Square (Father Duffy Square), in Lower Manhattan (South Street Seaport, corner of Front & John sts.) and in Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium (61 W. 62nd St., btw Broadway & Columbus Ave.). Discounts range between 20 and 50 percent. The service charge of $4.50 per ticket helps support other TDF (Theatre Development Fund) services and programs.

The 2018–2019 Broadway season culminates in the gala awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall, during which achievements in acting, writing, direction, sets, costumes, lighting and more are honored. The show is broadcast live on CBS-TV (local Channel 2) 8–11 pm.
To qualify for a 2019 Tony Award, a play or musical must open on or before April 25, 2019. Nominations are announced on April 30, 2019.
