NYC’s very own intimate one-ring circus—no seat is more than 50 feet away from the action—marks its 42nd season with a new Brooklyn-born ringmaster (Storm Marrero); The Aliev Troupe aerial acrobats; a straps act; a hand balancing duo and more.
Regular schedule (which can vary): W-F 11 am & 7 pm, Sa 11 am, 3 & 7 pm, Su noon & 4 pm
Local, multilingual volunteers show tourists the ins and outs of New York City when they lead two-to-four-hour jaunts through the city’s neighborhoods. Excursions are free (donations suggested), and are available both by foot and by subway. Reservations must be made at least four weeks prior to the scheduled visit. Locals and visitors alike are led through historic New York neighborhoods on the Multi-Ethnic Eating, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Gangs of New York and Immigrant New York tours. Outings last approximately two hours. Dates/times/locations vary. $25 adults, $20 seniors (65+)/students/military, $15 students.
Guided tours and bike rentals let visitors cycle their way around the city, traveling to such sights as the Brooklyn Bridge, Hudson River and Central Park. Guided tours leave from Pier 84 and Central Park (Tavern on the Green and Columbus Circle), Apr. 14-Oct. 21, and tour prices include bottled water and a helmet. New tours include New York at Night, National September 11 Memorial, Inside Central Park and Brooklyn Neighborhoods. Times and prices for tours vary.
