Big Apple Film Scout Tours

Big Apple Greeter

Local, multilingual volunteers show tourists the ins and outs of New York City when they lead two-to-four-hour jaunts through the city’s neighborhoods. Excursions are free (donations suggested), and are available both by foot and by subway. Reservations must be made at least four weeks prior to the scheduled visit. Big Apple Jazz Tours

Intimate four-to-five hour tours explore the city's lively jazz scene, including legendary clubs like the Savoy Ballroom, Minton’s Playhouse and Village Vanguard. Dates/times/prices vary. 917.863.7854.

Big Apple Manhattan Helicopter Tour

A 15-minute helicopter tour offers visitors the chance to view the spectacular sights of New York from above. Tour departs at 9 & 11 a.m., and 2 & 5 p.m. All passengers should arrive 30 mins before their scheduled flight. $150.

Big Bus Tours

Visitors can see NYC's most famous attractions, including the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, on this bus service, which offers fixed-loop rides and a hop-on, hop-off tours with 30 stops. Times/prices vary.

Big Onion Walking Tours

Locals and visitors alike are led through historic New York neighborhoods on the Multi-Ethnic Eating, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Gangs of New York and Immigrant New York tours. Outings last approximately two hours. Dates/times/locations vary. $25 adults, $20 seniors (65+)/students/military, $15 students. 

Big Taxi Tours

Visitors see up to 50 NYC locations, including Wall Street, Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge, aboard yellow hop-on, hop-off double-decker buses. Daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. $35 adults, $25 children. 212.685.8687.

Bike and Roll NYC

Guided tours and bike rentals let visitors cycle their way around the city, traveling to such sights as the Brooklyn Bridge, Hudson River and Central Park. Guided tours leave from Pier 84 and Central Park (Tavern on the Green and Columbus Circle), Apr. 14-Oct. 21, and tour prices include bottled water and a helmet. New tours include New York at Night, National September 11 Memorial, Inside Central Park and Brooklyn Neighborhoods. Times and prices for tours vary. Rentals available Mar.-May 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Jun.-Aug. 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Sept.-Nov. 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Bike the Big Apple
