Ghosts of New York Walking Tour

Dr. Phil Schoenberg takes tourists through Downtown Manhattan, visiting sites such as Trinity Churchyard and City Hall Park and telling ghostly tales of the spirits of Algonquin Indians, Abraham Lincoln, Edgar Allan Poe and Marie Roget. Dates/times vary.

Governor's Island Walking Tour

(Open June thru Aug. 31) Turned over to the public after 200 years of restricted military use, Governor’s Island features a mile-long waterfront esplanade, two 19th-century forts and 64 landmarked buildings. The National Park Service offers free tours Weds & Thurs with ferries to the island departing at 10 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gracie Mansion Tour

Archibald Gracie in 1799, the mansion now serves as the official home of NYC’s mayor. Forty-five-minute tours are
conducted on the hour 10 & 11 a.m., 1 & 2 p.m. on Wed. $7 adults, $4 seniors, free for children and students. Reservations required.
