Downtown Brooklyn’s innovative culinary destination DeKalb Market Hall is launching a new, weekly summer DJ series and party called “One Night Only” beginning Wednesday, June 12 from 8 pm- midnight. (445 Albee Square West, below City Point). The event is located within Dekalb Market Hall’s new entertainment venue, Dekalb Stage. The series will kick off with NYC native and cult favorite DJ D-Nice of the hip hop group Boogie Down Productions. His contagiously lively energy and beats have lead him to play for everyone from Rihanna to Barack Obama at his Inaugural Ball in 2012. He’s had Billboard hit singles, a residency at Atlantic City’s famed Borgata Hotel Casino, spinning for an A-list crowd including Billy Joel, P.Diddy. Idris Elba, Amy Schumer, John Legend, Dwyane Wade and Lebron James.

The event will open on June 12 and tickets can be found via Eventbrite here ($20-$35). One Night Only will continue to run weekly throughout the summer, with popular twin DJs Angel + Dren (@angelanddren) spinning next week on June 19 (tickets are available here). If you’ve never been to Dekalb Market Hall here are some notable stats: it’s recognized as one of the largest and most unique food halls in the country, the 27,000-square-foot subterranean market is home to a collection of over 40 local and regional eateries and up-and-coming culinary talent.

Vendors range from historic New York staples like Katz’s Delicatessen, Ample Hills Creamery, Arepa Lady, and Foragers; to authentic outposts such as Daigo Hand Roll Bar, Bunker, Pierogi Boys, WikiWiki, BK Jani, Hana Noodles, and 100% Mr. Lin; healthier options like Two Tablespoons and Brooklyn Juicer; and family-friendly favorites including Andrew’s Hard Times Sundaes, Fletcher’s BBQ, Forcella Fried Pizza and more.
