On Sep 15, over 40 restaurants, bars and local business from across the neighborhood will gather to celebrate North Brooklyn at TASTE of WIlliamsburg Greenpoint, with all proceeds benefiting the Firehouse North Brooklyn Community Center, located in the former Engine 212 Firehouse at 134 Wythe Ave., which is working to re-open as a crucial community and cultural center that will be the first of its kind in North Brooklyn.

Over the past 10 years, the annual event has raised almost $1 million for the Firehouse project, which is now nearly fully funded and entering into the construction phase, with just $250,000 to go (meaning this year's festival will (hopefully) be the final push the project needs!)

Notable new vendors at this year’s festival include Baba's Pierogies, who will be serving up piles of the handmade Polish dumplings, Silver Light Tavern, a recently-opened Williamsburg bar and eatery, Ela Taverna, a neighborhood Greek taverna and more. Williamsburg TASTE veteran MID|NIGHTS will also be serving up their answer to the Popeye's vs. Chick-fil-A debate: the Firehouse Chicken Sandwich, which will be available exclusively for TASTE-goers.

There will also be a wide variety of entertainment and educational offerings for attendees of all ages, including velcro archery tag from Area 53, vintage video games from Team 1 Up, a lounge area from Tito’s Vodka and Jim Beam, and a beer garden from Blue Point Brewing Company. As in years past, the Greenpoint YMCA will offer face painting, arts and crafts, youth basketball, family zumba yoga and more with opportunities to win a YMCA membership, and the St. Nicks Alliance will be bringing their BK Story Voyager mobile library.

Make sure you stop by Sunday, September 15 for a fun, family-friendly day in Brooklyn!
