The Osprey Rolls Out New Fall Farm-to-Table Menu in Brooklyn

The new Fall menu from Chef de Cuisine Denevin Miranda, who recentlyjoined 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, utilizes Chef Miranda’s background in sustainable cooking to implement seasonal menus celebrating the cultural diversity of New York City. Enjoy beautiful and delicious  options and along with inventive cocktails in a bright and airy atmosphere, incorporating lush greenery and wall-to-wall glass doors to boast a indoor-outdoor garden experience.

 

Having gotten the opportunity to explore the new Fall menu, I enjoyed the ranges from small items and entrees to shareable dishes in which fresh and all-natural ingredients take center stage like the pumpkin brioche appetizer or the charred cauliflower with Chermoula, hazelnuts, preserved lemon, harissa aioli; the tender and flavorful octopus adobo with purple potato, black garlic, Klamansi, and chicharron is a delight. My carnivore of a plus one devoured the strip steak leaving nothing behind for me to try. The Osprey has items to please every palate—other notable food items include: 

  • Roasted Beet Salad (Whipped Feta, Black Olive Crumble, Cara Cara Oranges)

  • Nantucket Scallops (Chorizo, Smoked Corn Mousse, Sofrito, Heirloom Baby Popcorn) 

  • Whole Branzino (Stewed White Beans, Fennel Salad, Fennel Pollen, Romesco Sauce | Gluten Free)

  • Murray Farm Rotisserie Chicken (Jerk Marinade, Cornbread Pudding, Natural Jus)

  • Dry Aged Tomahawk (28 oz. Center-Cut, Crushed Potatoes, Beef Jus)

 Of course we can’t forget about the cocktails. In line with the 1 Hotel sustainable brand ethos, 80% of The Osprey’s wine menu features fully biodynamic and organic wines. Even the cocktail program follows a zero-waste philosophy using discarded fruit rinds and other reusable ingredients from the kitchen to create syrups and shrubs for cocktails.
