NYC’s beloved Supercraft beer hall and restaurant Clinton Hall is about to reach new heights with the opening of Clinton Hall Rooftop Beer Garden at the POD Brooklyn Hotel (247 Metropolitan Ave.) on May 17. The new venue will be Clinton Hall’s sixth across Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx and it will also be Brooklyn’s only solar-powered rooftop beer garden. The rooftop offers communal seating for up to 125 guests and will be open Thursday through Sunday from mid-May till Labor Day.

Over 100 solar panels will supply power and recycle energy across the rooftop, hotel and courtyard beer garden, making Clinton Hall’s Rooftop Beer Garden the greenest rooftop bar in the borough. Guests will be encouraged to take the greenway up to the rooftop to conserve even more energy. The stairway is an art lover’s stomping ground, with a who’s who roster of local NYC artists displaying one-of-a-kind pieces from the ground level, to the rooftop.

Clinton Hall’s Executive Chef Darryl Harmon has created a menu perfect for those looking for something light to share or decadent to devour.  His menu will include Rooftop Taco Flights paired with mini-margaritas, guac and chips, spinach and artichoke dip, a veggie charcuterie board, crab cobb salad and arugula watermelon salad in addition to modern-day comforts like Kellogg's cereal crusted pretzel bites, a Jersey dog, Frito pie dog, Maine lobster roll, angry lobster roll, and bacon avocado lobster roll.

There will be specialty cocktails on rotation with Cider Frosé being a mainstay in addition to four Supercraft beers on tap. Clinton Hall’s very own Gigawatt IPA, a labor of love brewed at Bronx Brewery, will also be available by the can and bucket along with a half dozen other options. Wine by the glass and bottle will also be offered.

And it wouldn’t be Clinton Hall without fun and games. The rooftop will feature giant Jenga, cornhole and dozens of quintessential Clinton Hall communal games. One of Clinton Hall’s first summer events will take place on Sunday, May 19th, from 2pm-4pm. Staying true to the “green theme”, Clinton Hall, in partnership with The Pod Hotel, will host Brooklyn Blooms, which will take place on the rooftop. Tickets are $35 and include one of Clinton Hall’s Cider Frosé cocktails, a terrarium-making class hosted by Modern Terrarium Bar, supplies and a cold-pressed juice. Tickets can be purchased here.
