New Modern American restaurant Ardyn has landed in Greenwich Village. Ardyn, which refers to a sacred forest, is an approachable, seasonally-driven restaurant that offers three distinct experiences—a sleek lounge with cocktails and bar snacks, a dining room offering a la carte menu, as well as a tasting-menu-only chef’s counter. The 1,900-square-foot space draws inspiration from the restaurant’s name and evokes the tones, textures and depth of a forest with jewel green tiles and white countertops, accented by natural woods in the floor and ceiling. Upon entering, you’re welcomed into a lively lounge area. Helmed by co-chefs Lory and Bordonaro, Ardyn’s dining room menu features an assortment of shareable hot and cold small plates, large-format dishes, seasonal sides, and desserts. Each dish at Ardyn features ingredients largely sourced from the local farmer’s markets and artisanal producers available in New York City and its surrounding areas, executed with the highest level of care and attention to detail.

Menu highlights for small plates include options such as white asparagus with Iberico ham, spring onion, pistachio; scallop crudo with sugar snap pea, green strawberry, marcona almond;

cappelletti with short rib, maitake, veal jus; while large-format options include dishes like duck and dry-aged wagyu ribeye. Seasonal sides like wild mushrooms and roasted carrots round out the menu. For dessert, you can expect options such as cheesecake with strawberry, pistachio, basil and coconut with passion fruit and meringue.

For those who are interested in partaking in a specially-curated Ardyn experience may opt for the chef’s tasting menu. The six-course menu will change based on market availability and will be priced at $85 per person, with an optional $60 per person beverage pairing. You may enjoy the tasting menu exclusively at the six-seat chef’s counter for two nightly seatings (6:30 pm and 9:00 pm).
