National Sushi Day is coming up on Tuesday, June 18, ROLLN, an Australian-inspired sushi shop in Flatiron will offer a free, limited edition Summer Mango Shrimp roll with cilantro and chili to the first 100 customers who visit the shop.

ROLLN is the brainchild of Gavin Tseng and David Tam, Australian expats and longtime friends who relocated to New York several years ago—both were nostalgic for the ubiquitous and beloved hand roll sushi they grew up with and were inspired to share this simple and satisfying way of eating with their new community. The small Flatiron shop serves 100% naturally gluten-free hand rolls, made fresh daily using organic ingredients, certified sustainable seafood, and house-made sauces. ROLLN’s menu is tightly curated with a singular focus on quality, offering perfected versions of familiar favorites in the Australian-inspired hand roll style.

ROLLN’s fan-favorite hand rolls include classics like california, salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and tuna salad, alongside custom vegan tuna avocado (made with tomatoes!), and a cheeseburger roll made with locally-sourced beef from Wonder Meats in New Jersey, wrapped with American cheese and house-made special sauce. Rolls start at $3.95 and are offered with ROLLN’s sushi rice or trademark quinoa. To note, the shop is the first in NYC to offer the option of high-protein, all-quinoa hand rolls, made using a proprietary cooking technique that brings a full flavor and fluffy texture that won’t fall apart. So if you're taking in the sites and the iconic Flatiron building, recharge at this cute spot and get some fresh and delicious sushi on the house!
