Food festivals are a thing to be celebrated. I mean, delicious food all in one place—who can argue with that? During my time in New York, I’ve been to a few, including Whole Foods Market New Taste of the Upper West Side. When I went last year, the festive event was held under a large tent—complete with appetizing smells and eager attendees waiting to dig in to a number of dishes, from ribs and sliders to bacon cookies and corn dogs. This year’s festivities take place May 29 thru June 1 and are separated into two events: Comfort Classics and Best of the West. Comfort Classics, hosted by the Travel Channel’s Adam Richman, will take place on Friday, May 31. This event will feature food from more than 40 of the Upper West Side’s most innovative chefs as they present soul-satisfying classics and new takes on old favorites. On Saturday, June 1, Best of the West, hosted by Gail Simmons, will allow visitors to taste fare from Jean-Georges, John Fraser and many more. For more information and tickets, click here.
